Legacy in Action:

A Trauma-Informed Model for Workforce Equity

Presented by IN/COMMON in partnership with Global  Investment Company

Executive Summary

The Legacy Wellness & Workforce Initiative (LWEWI) is a trauma-informed, culturally  resonant framework designed to empower Black women and reentry participants  through holistic workforce development. Co-created by IN/COMMON and rooted in  symbolic visual identity, LWEWI blends financial literacy, civic leadership, and wellness  into a scalable model for global investment in equity. This white paper outlines the  initiative’s design, impact, and investment potential — with Global Investment Company  as a strategic partner in expanding legacy-driven transformation.

1. Introduction: Reframing Public Narrative

LWEWI is more than a program — it’s a movement. Developed by IN/COMMON, a  visionary organization committed to equity and legacy-building, LWEWI redefines  workforce development through trauma-informed pedagogy, symbolic branding, and  community ownership. It is a dual-forum model:

• Civic Forum: Focused on leadership, civic engagement, and entrepreneurship • Reentry Forum: Focused on healing, financial literacy, and workforce  reintegration

Both are unified by a shared visual language — arches, crowns, bridges — and a  commitment to measurable impact.

2. Trauma-Informed, Culturally Relevant Design

LWEWI integrates healing-centered engagement with culturally resonant motifs to  foster trust, dignity, and transformation.

• Design Principles: Safety, choice, collaboration, empowerment, and cultural  humility

• Symbolic Branding: Logos feature radiant crowns, balanced scales, and layered  arches to evoke equity, justice, and legacy

• Curriculum Modules: Blend hard and soft skills, including budgeting, storytelling,  entrepreneurship, and civic activation

This approach ensures participants are not just trained — they are affirmed, activated,  and equipped to lead.

3. Community Ownership & Co-Creation

LWEWI is led by IN/COMMON but is owned by the community.

• Facilitators are trained from within the population served

• Capsule collections (Threads of Legacy) are co-designed with participants • Curriculum is iteratively refined based on lived experience and feedback

This bottom-up approach ensures authenticity, sustainability, and trust — key  ingredients for long-term impact.

4. Financial Literacy as a Pathway to Equity

LWEWI embeds financial literacy into every module, aligning with Global Investment  Company’s legacy of coaching and planning.

• Budgeting & Legacy Planning: Participants learn to manage resources and build  generational wealth

• Entrepreneurship & Capital Readiness: Civic forum participants develop  business plans and pitch decks

• Fashion Tags as Activation Tools: Each capsule item includes QR codes linking  to financial literacy resources and civic engagement portals

This integration transforms fashion into function — and storytelling into strategy. 5. Investment Opportunity

Global Investment Company is invited to partner in scaling LWEWI through:

• Strategic Funding: Support curriculum expansion, facilitator training, and  capsule production

• Brand Amplification: Co-branded showcases, digital campaigns, and civic  activations

• Impact Measurement: Equity-centered KPIs, participant feedback loops, and CE  accreditation tracking

Together, we can build a legacy of equity, empowerment, and innovation. 6. Visual Identity & Branding

The initiative is anchored by the IN/COMMON Civic and Reentry logos, designed to  evoke transformation, justice, and shared power.

• Civic Logo: Features bold serif typography and a golden scales of justice icon • Reentry Logo: Features a layered arch symbolizing passage, resilience, and  reintegration

• Color Palette: Deep indigo, warm gold, and soft neutrals — chosen for elegance,  clarity, and emotional resonance

These emblems appear across all materials — from curriculum headers to fashion tags — reinforcing the initiative’s values and vision.

Conclusion

LWEWI is a blueprint for equity-centered investment. With IN/COMMON’s visionary  leadership and Global Investment Company’s legacy of financial empowerment, we have  the opportunity to scale a trauma-informed model that honors lived experience,  activates civic power, and builds generational wealth.

This is a legacy in action. Let’s invest in it — together.
