United States — October 12, 2026 — ANewswire — Gotham Motorsports delivered a dominant performance at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca during Racing America’s International GT race weekend, capturing both sprint-race victories and the endurance-race win in the Maranello Cup Class. Competing with its Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo race cars, the team secured podium finishes in all three races and strengthened its championship position heading into the next round at Circuit of The Americas (COTA).
The Laguna Seca weekend featured InternationalGT’s traditional two-sprint-race format followed by an endurance race, challenging teams to demonstrate speed, consistency, and reliability at one of North America’s most iconic road courses.
Gotham Motorsports founder and driver Yousuf Nabi led the charge in the Maranello Cup Class, capturing first place in both sprint races. Nabi’s back-to-back victories demonstrated the team’s competitive pace and his ability to deliver under pressure throughout the weekend.
Nabi continued his strong performance in the endurance race, finishing second in class to complete an impressive three-race campaign. His results at Laguna Seca further strengthened his championship bid, placing him at the top of the International GT Maranello Cup points standings as the season heads toward its next and final round.
Muntean and Kircher Capture Endurance Victory
Teammate Radu Muntean also delivered an exceptional weekend, finishing second in both sprint races before returning to the top of the podium in the endurance event.
Partnering with co-driver Ryan Kircher for the enduro race, Muntean secured first place in the Maranello Cup Class, delivering another major result for Gotham Motorsports.
Across the three races, Gotham Motorsports claimed both sprint-race victories and the endurance-race win, with its drivers finishing first and second in the Maranello Cup Class in every event. The results underscored the team’s strength across both sprint and endurance competition.
Following the successful Laguna Seca weekend, Nabi heads to the next round as the Maranello Cup championship points leader. With two sprint victories and a second-place endurance finish, he enters the upcoming event with strong momentum as he pursues the 2026 championship.
Gotham Motorsports will return to competition November 5-8, 2026, at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. The team will look to build on its Laguna Seca success, with Nabi aiming to extend his championship lead and Muntean continuing to challenge at the front of the field.
Brad Evans from Defiance Ranch will also be joining the IGT Maranello Cup Class at COTA in his Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo in its Camo Livery.
“Laguna Seca is an incredible circuit, and we’re proud of what the entire team accomplished this weekend,” said Radu Muntean, driver of Gotham Motorsports.
“Winning both sprint races and the endurance race, while putting both of our Ferraris on the podium in every event, is a testament to the hard work of our drivers, crew, and partners. Leading the Maranello Cup championship heading to COTA makes this momentum even more important. We’re looking forward to keeping the pressure on and finishing the season strong,” said Yousuf Nabi, driver of Gotham Motorsports.
